Most likely because even though it was an ugly, underpowered, shadow of its old self, it managed in a 5 model year run to sell over 1 million units.
For reference the same years of Camaro were out paced by almost 30k units. The Monza, the Mustang II's more directly aligned competitor, was outsold by some 260k+ units. Last edited by crysalis_01; 08-30-2013 at 06:00 PM. |
