Ugh I hate being so indecisive on a front bumper I am turn between two options:

Option 1: SS bumper with ZL1 upper grille, street scenes lower grill with air ducts, some sort of spillter and making the mail-slot functional

Option 2: ZL1 bumper with ZL1 upper grille and maybe the new mail-slot ACS just came out with and making it functional

No idea which would be cheaper/look better haha

not to be a dick but since i "am" one here's my opinion, i would just do whatever looks the best but at the same time, not spend a ridculous amount of money on that mod to make it look the best. It'll look good either way KJ

Anyways Just turned my car over, No CEL, no high idle seemed like before but a little deeper. Very happy despite all the work it took. Going to take a small break then start on that other install.

The SS route probably will be cheaper if you could find one off of a member that is selling a IOM one. With that being said I think the ZL1 bumper will look much nicer.

Well firstly I like it lol and second though it would be a good idea to turn it into a functional one them have cold air come in through there and push more hot air out my hex vents.

If you want the Mail slot I would do the SS fascia. Honestly i think the ZL1 fascia will look a little strange with the Mail slot but you would be the only one that i know of with one so definitely would be custom and one of a kind.

Don't think you'll get much function from the mail slot, or else a lot of people would do that. I don't know anyone who has...

If u want the mailslot, I'd do the ss bumper. Why pay more to get it on the zl1 bumper if the ss comes with it? U can then just get the acs piece to make it functional.

This is also my dilemma though. I kinda like the mailslot but considering its the only discerning piece from a v6 bumper, I don't want to be taken as a "poser". Not that I care what others think but it's just a thought I've had. I know I can get the ss bumper for a good price since someone is selling one but if I'm gonna spend the money, why not go big right?

Also, like PMC said, I just can't see getting that much function from the mailslot. I mean it's a rather small slit for air to go through

True. What I like about the ss bumper other than the mail slot is the lip at the bottom and how good splitters look with it (unlike on our bumpers). What I really like about the ZL1 is the lower grill/splitter and the fog light areas but I do see your point about adding the mail slot to the ZL1 bumper. You two are prob right there prob is no benefit from it.....

also must refrain from saying joke about fitting things in small slits
