I imagine if I won 22/26 I wouldn't complain judges are unfair regardless of who or what won.

clearly OP feels he deserved to win 26/26...

I could put thousands upon thousands into a 100% accurate restoration of a 1 of 1 car and still wouldn't expect to win every single show. Especially club shows...

Oh cool...your closer than I thought. CoMo isn't far at all. Not sure if it would be worth your time, but the only decent car show in Jefferson City that I know of is at the capital mall the last Saturday of every month, but there are usually a good amount of cars there. If you are ever down in the JC area let me know.

By the way, just curious, but are there any decent shops that do dyno runs in Columbia?

To be honest, I would like to know why you are complaining? You state you have won bunches of trophies, this and that, but you didn't win 4 of them. I say pick your shows better if you are going to worry about winning every show you go too. I hate seeing people complain, especially win they have won as much as you.

You have a nice ride, I would be more than happy to have won half the shows you have. Just my opinion though.

So to recap the OP:

Ricer that is used to getting praised by ricer car shows for his fancy stereo, body kit and green neon lights is pissed that real car shows with powerful modified drag cars doesn't even give his riced out car the time of day.

I didnt say all judges arent fair if you read my post, I said that the 4 shows that I went to that where hosted by car clubs where not judge fairly. They just cared about if it was a american muscle v8.

I never once said I deserved to win all of the shows, I am just stating that the car club shows that I have been to have been biased towards the cars that have big v8 motors vs the smaller v6 cars. Plus stating that is really just taking people money and not giving them a fair shot. If you want to have a class or car show geared towards v8 cars then state that. I spent my last vacation day to go to this show cost me and my family over $200 for the day. If I knew that I was not even going to have a fair shot at winning or being judge fairly I would of just drove up in the family car and not entered.

Just like I stated earlier its not about winning its about the fairness of the show. Plus if people want to win show more in a modified class put more effort and time into your car. I have over 200+ hours in my car and the entire first year I owned it I had it taken it apart and modifying it.

You are exactly the type of person I am talking about, an ignorant muscle head that can't see the beauty in a vehicle unless it has a big motor.

How is putting nitrous on a car modifying it? To be in a modified car class. And no I have never taken my car to a import show, I have never owned anything but a chevy my entire life so I am not a ricer.

Lets racap what you are saying, you have a stock car but you do motor work into it and that is a modified car. Explain that to me. Or if I was to take my car and take the v6 out and put a ss stock v8 in it then I would deserve to win a modified car class. But if you are talking about horse power and speed a new 10+ v6 stock will crush any stock pre 2010 v8 that is a na car.

I'll jump in before the . Different people like different things. If I was a judge, I'd score an SS with a LSx 454 a lot higher than a V6 with a stereo. Is the V6 nice? Sure. But performance counts a lot more for me than purely cosmetic/sound mods but that's just me. The judge's score is just an opinion, not a statement of fact. If every judge was identical, there wouldn't be much point in having a show in the first place...

Yes but don't you think that being a judge you should score the vehicles on the score sheet with a non biased opinion?

This.

I'll take a stab at explaining it to you. Modifying to ME is mainly about performance upgrades and apparently you have done none. That's why people say you are winning ricer shows, because you have only done ricer mods - "mods" that have no performance value.

I think there are 3 types of shows:
1. Vintage shows that appreciate a vintage type car in immaculate condition
2. Performance type shows that appreciate performance work
3. Ricer type shows that appreciate interiors, stickers, neon lights, stereos, video monitors and giant stonking rear spoilers.
