LS2 in a 2008 Corvette? LS3 was the base for 2008

I have LS3 emblems on the hood and at a car show a guy walked up and said "I have a Camaro just like yours with a 6 MT and everything but why do you have a 5.3 L engine and I have a 6.2 L engine ? I said what - and he pointed to my emblems and said your hood says L53."

I didn't think the LS2 came in a 6.2l. My fathers Trailblazer SS was a 6.0l LS2.

Very true - I had a guy who was having linkage issues come to me at a show so he suggested. He said he believed his pump or drum was messed up in his Lenco. So I crawled up under the car and watched his linkage shift through for him unbound and noticed his case was cast iron. I ask him to again explain his problem and he told me he could only get reverse when pulling his shifter through the full pattern after low gear. Anybody want to guess what was going on?

Someone had found and old Powerglide pre 58 and converted it for drag racing and this car ended up with it. He neither had a Lenco nor linkage problems but argued me that I was wrong because his cousin built the car with the Lenco. I tried to explain to him people called erroneously a valved powerglide a Lenco but to no end I was wrong and he had issues. So I gave up and walked away. Two months later at another show he walked up and apologizes after learning from another guy I was correct and his Camaro should of had an aluminum case and not a goofy glide which I had to explain to him was because of his shift pattern.

I also seen this as the ID-10T Form. You have to fill this out to get your drivers license in various states.
