Pfft.

It's better packaged in every way. The lack of manual is a non-issue considering how many people looking in that segment can't drive one to begin with.

I could care less about other people... I care about me I should pull the diesel cruze we have on the lot and test drive it. I would probably be in the market for one in a few years if it offered manual transmission.

It already easily pulls 50 MPG without a manual. Plus it doesn't look like it's competing with Toyota for the title of World's Most Boring Car like the Jetta.

But an automatic is boring to drive. I drove a manual TDI and it was actually somewhat fun to drive. I've driven automatic Camaro SS's and a CTS-V and it was somewhat boring.
