Yep, a V6 for me. I save a bunch for retirement, and have a mortgage on a vacation home to cover. So, in the grand scheme of things, the added cost of the SS just didn't, well, add-up...

Ok so I was taking my Intake manifold off to do some cleaning and while trying to put it on I think I'm screwed. I have the black ice and I dont have a took for the back bolt so I said damn and went to put it back on. The black ice dislodged from the manifold but I cant reseal it till I get a wrench. Also my bilts have all this white stuff and I am trying to torwie it back but keep getting cracking noises so I'm scared to continue. Fml. Should I clean the bolt so itll go down smooth?

What tool do you need for the back bolt? The head sizes are all the same EDIT - yeah, I guess you need a wrench for that one and not a ratchet and socket, duh...

I suppose the white stuff could be some oxidation from the aluminum that has stuck to the threads. You should always clean bolts, etc. if you intend to torque them to a specific level. You could also lube the bolts lightly with some grease. Are you using longer bolts or the stock ones? I ask because with the isolator and the stockers, you are working with a lot fewer threads, and the risk of strip-out is increased...
