A SC is power on demand because you will always have it there and nitrous is more of a thing to use on the track since legally you can't use it on the street in any state that I am aware of. An advantage that Nitrous has over a SC is that it is WAY CHEAPER but just like Jason said you need to fill a bottle.

Jason is also right about the suspension part. SC will tend to be harder for the tires and suspension to handle because you launch with all that power compared to getting the power once you started going.

But personally I have never been a big fan of Nitrous. It used to be hard on motor if you were constantly spraying it with a large shot since they were not designed for that large combustion and you have to refill the bottle. But that's just my opinion others will say different and I can't say to much because i have never had any experience with nitrous just from what i have read and seen

Is there a gauge to tell you how full your bottle is? Wouldn't it be bad if you go to spray and there is nothing left?

I would assume with any other bottle/tank there can be a regulator with gauge installed to see how many PSI's are left. Correct me if I am wrong Jason.

there is a bottle pressure gauge. I've never had any issue using nitrous, and then the bottle running out. you will obviously run rich, and you can definitely feel when you're not spraying any more nitrous. just take your foot off WOT, and you will be fine. I normally don't let the bottle run that low. i'll do 4 or 5 passes and then refill. I usually have a few lbs left, whenever I refill.

any time you add more fuel/air to a motor, you have the chance of blowing the motor. the biggest reason most blow their motor is because they turn the boost way too high, or they add too big of a shot with nitrous and fuel. if you aren't greedy, you will be fine, in either case. if you are greedy, then you need to spend the money to build the engine to handle the power.

With any performance add ons you go to far and you run the chance of blowing the motor. The IPF kit on a reasonable amount of boost and with a dialed in tune you will have a pretty low risk of blowing the motor but you then increase the chance of your timing chains stretching especially on the 10s and early 11s without the revised chains. On the LLT its not a question of if the chains are going to stretch but when will they stretch. And sadly one of the GM employees at the fest completely agreed with me

another reason to go with nitrous.

I love SC and turbo's, but i'm a strong believer that the LLT likes nitrous more.

Call me crazy but my honest opinion on Nitrous, Turbos, and SC on any car is that its fake power like steroids in humans. I don't know why because I do like FI but I would never build one.
