Headed to Bristol this weekend

My brother calls me up a moment ago and mentions that they are racing in Bristol this weekend. Damn him! Now I'll be heading there for the weekend to watch the race on Saturday night.

Got a second ticket, and now need to find someone that wants to go either from where I'm staying...or maybe even one of you!

Ticket now gone!

I've always wanted to go to a Bristol race too...great track and bump to pass is in full force.

I'm heading too. We will be there starting Wednesday for the truck race through the weekend. I was just on google scoping out the house we're staying in this year. It has a nice in ground pool. Can't wait.

Finding lodging was fun last minute. Got a room at the La Quinta though...

Anyone know the NASCAR camera policies? SLR Cameras ok?

Yeah, you're lucky if you got a hotel anywhere near Bristol this late. I've been going for around 16 years now. We are hooked up with a realtor that finds us houses to rent for the weekend. That makes it nice for sure. This year we are only 1.4 miles from the track. Hope you have a good time. I know we will.

I'll be there to camping in earhardt camp ground. Steve never heard of anyone having any trouble getting any type of camera in. check their website they have a list of banned items.

We never had a problem taking SLRs in to the track. Also if you have time, hit up
Ridgewood Barbecue. It's the best barbecue in the country.

I'm on a pretty strict diet these days, so no BBQ for me...

I just started mine 2 weeks ago. I'd gain back the 8 pounds I've already lost if I did it, heh.

Believe me, I know how hard it is to lose weight. I eat some for you. Bristol is a great time either way.

I live about 25 miles from the track. I stopped going to the races there in the early 2000's I got my truck vandalized one time and got rear ended trying to get out of the parking lot by someone trying to force his way between my car and the one behind me. I never went back. Be sure to have real good earplugs or you won't be able to hear for several days afterwards.
