no.
SA probably did not get that particular model certified for sale in cali, it costs the manufacture for each model done so SA probably certified a similar pistol instead.

from the cali AG website

Quote:
Effective January 1, 2001, no handgun may be manufactured within California, imported into California for sale, lent, given, kept for sale, or offered/exposed for sale unless that handgun model has passed firing, safety, and drop tests and is certified for sale in California by the Department of Justice. Private party transfers, curio/relic handguns, certain single-action revolvers, and pawn/consignment returns are exempt from this requirement.

I figured. I liked the way it felt. Thanks

I would go for the 9 for that reason.

Absolutely not.. lol. I shot a XDm9 and it was like a BB gun. The XDs has some kick but its no where near what you would think it would be. My GF is 5'1" at 100 lbs and she shoots it fine and wants one. The grip was a little aggressive and I get sweaty palms easily so I added the rubberized Talon Grips and they made it 100xs better.

The XD I shot was a .45 so it may have had a little more recoil than your XDm.
Thanks for the insight.

I think they're about 2.5 years out right now, but I have some connections.

Mine should be here by the end of the year.

Have you looked on ar15.com or m4carbine.net in the equipment exchanges? I am 99.9% sure LMT makes their own BCGs but caught some flak over their use of MIM gas keys. I do not know who makes BCM BCGs but there are only so many companies that do. Most are rebranded.

Here are some alternatives:

ICE arms has BCGs for sale...melonite coated for $159
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_124/6...ier_Group.html

There is a PSA nickel boron slightly used on there now for $180. I know it isn't BCM or LMT marked but was probably made on the same assembly line...

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_159/1...sale_____.html

This guy has an extra BCM but says he won't sell it unless the upper sells first
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_159/1...ctors_etc.html

Centurion Arms is good stuff
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_159/1..._Arms_BCG.html

And many more. Those are just the first 3 pages under "used upper receiver parts" I didn't even look in the New upper receiver parts section

More searching:
BAM! FOUR LMT BCGs for sale

I emailed about the 4 LMT's. We'll see how it goes.
