Every time you think of a mod you would like take the money and stick it in the bank. After a year, go get an SS and use that money for additional down payment (or mod the SS).

Chevy cannot makes any such promise. Chevy does not loan money and your APR is based on your credit score. Just because you pay your car note on time does not in any way mean your credit score will be any better in a year.

If you are going to trade in for a new SS be prepared to put in a big downpayment. If you wait another year or 2 then you will be in a better position for the trade in. Or if you cant wait, find a good used SS. There are lots of them out there.

I put 3K down on my '12 LS (that's all I had left after my car was totaled) and used that down. I only put $500 down on my SS and my payment went DOWN $2 lol Granted I have 1.5 more years of payments then the LS but I could care less

The more you can put away and put down in a year the better off you are!

I think I'll just put an exhaust on it for now. Save and see where I'm at next year. What does a new SS go for?

Honestly, and this is really your decision... Don't waste your money!

You won't get that money for the exhaust back and you'd be better off putting it aside for down payment money. Just my .02

When you go to trade the car in after a year make sure you bring an extra large jar of KY!

See I was going to say, where I've seen people talk about this on here it doesn't seem as though they got hit all that bad. And I figure maybe the dealership is motivated to move that other car a year or whatever from now which is why they'll do you right on your trade, but that is just a guess.

The jar won't have to be that big. Now that the economy in Las Vegas has corrected itself and I'm on schedule to break $75,000 this year and am enrolled in a credit fix program. I may just need a teaspoon.

Sorry for being an ass, but I guess I'm just tired of seeing this same thread over and over.
I don't understand why people say they get tired of seeing certain topics. The OPs thread title was clear. I you are not interested, then move on to a thread that you like.

Get the car you want, all that matters is that "you" are happy.

And while we're at complaining about thread types...

V6 vs V8 blah blah blah
Auto vs manual blah blah blah
Should I wave? blah blah blah

OK you may continue your regularly scheduled thread now

The car I wanted was a Corvette. That was till I drove the Camaro and realized how important a back seat is and a modest sized trunk. After owning five Mustangs, all GT's I'm now a Camaro guy for life. V6 or V8 as long as its Chevy.
