Pinion seal is done. Nothing like working under a truck when it is 107* outside. I'll wash it tomorrow morning, then I have to tackle another irrigation leak. Might go to a cruise tomorrow night.

Had to run some errands today, so I drove the Dakota. When I returned home, I parked in front of the garage door and unloaded everything. Went back out later in the day and noticed a few drips of gear oil. Was NOT happy to see that. So I crawled under the truck and noticed I didn't clean up all of the old gear oil as there was still some between the gas tank and the retaining strap. Pinion seal was dry, thankfully.

Glad the pinion seal was dry. Me no likey oil leaks.

Did anyone beside me check out the announcement about C-fest V?

It's scheduled for the first weekend in May '14 in Baytown, TX outside of Houston.

For me, it's about 350 miles closer than Indy (which doesn't say much) and for the PNWer's is even further than Indy.

You know, I was thinking....

Back home from the fest. I had a great time got to meet Janice and Skip watched some racing and had a lot of fun hanging out in the parking lot checking out the cars and talking to people. However as usual I neglected to take a lot of pictures. I get so involved looking around and talking to people I just forget to pull out my phone to snap some pictures. I did take a couple of my Hex Vents being installed but I just got an iPhone and I am still figuring out how to use it properly so most of the ones I took are sideways so I will just include one of the finished product for now. I am going to remove them for somew additional painting when I get a chance.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaack! What a good time I had. I spent the first day meeting up with C5 friends & partied the first night, got the suspension & partied the next night, ran autocross & bracket races the next day (I beat a ZL1 & an SS), partied really hard that night, then ran heads up racing (won 2nd place in V6 class) & got my halos instaled the next day & just hung out a little in the parking lot that night (I was pooped!) & drove home today. It was a very good Fest! I am in process of going through all the pics but for now:

Good morning crew. Back to the real world. It is a strange feeling. Makes me think of what it must be like to come back to earth from outer space. I know that sounds odd but it just seems like I have been to fantasy world & now I have to go to work. Well, coffee finished & time to get up & going.
