If that's true, it kinda makes me wonder if it was supposed to be this year, but they couldn't plan it in time. So the mods just said F it and had it at Indy again since they had already gone through all of that.

Yeah I think that's what happened. But I still think that their huge outcome from last year had something to do with it.

True. But they can't expect the same level of popularity twice in a row. Fest is vacation for a lot of members. Most people don't vacation in the same place twice in a row.

I think you guys are missing the point of c5fest. I mean, I'm sure they want as many people to go, but its not their main goal. It's for forum members to hang out and mingle/party/etc, around a camaro theme, that also includes racing.

I'm looking at it more from a financial standpoint. Although even from that view, getting to hang out with other forum members is cool, but if I'm going to make that far of a trip, I'm going to want to see things other than just Camaros. And if I saw everything last year already, I wouldn't really want to go to that same place again.

It's like I said before, to a lot of people C5Fest is their summer vacation. I really think they'd enjoy it a lot more if it was someplace new.

That being said however, at least Camaro5 puts on an event like this. Not many forums do.

I'm gonna say the majority of people that go to fest don't visit the city at all. People park their car, drink, have fun, pee on buildings, etc. lol. In all seriousness, people don't go to fest to see anything but the people they've met online and talk about their car, and race if they want. All the Camaro's are either parked at the hotel or at the raceway.

I'd love to visit the cities, but I can do that any time. Just not enough time to hang out at the hotel and raceway and whatever the city has to offer, unless we stayed for a full week.
