Hi gang! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I attached a photo that hopefully helps show what I was describing. Don't know what that brace is called, but is sure is noisy when it's loose.

This is the second Camaro that I've heard of with loose or missing bolts. If you remember a few weeks ago I reported that I had three of four engine mount bolts on the left side missing. Running with one bolt for who knows how long! I don't know if they weren't tightened properly or were never even installed on the assembly line.

A buddy is working on a '69 Malibu station wagon right now, and keeps running into issues. He has it much worse than I do. I remember your engine mount issue, should have checked mine as I was right there.

I also bought a sun dress for my daughter who is going with us & does not have much in the way of "vacation wear". Here is a pic of me in the new shorts & the shirt I made . (and before you ask, No guys, I am not going to post pics of me in the undies).
Cool shirt.

If I knew what you looked like, I might attempt it. But I'll take your word for it you are there.

I haven't taken my favorite exit ramp yet, but my preliminary review of the FE4 sway bar change over is positive. The car feels much more stable and corners more "flat" than before. When cornering with the original sway bars, the rear seemed to sway more than the front, but now the front of car seems to plow just a bit, and the front tires squeal just a bit.

Is the cornering better now? Yes! Is it worth changing over? Yes! But I believe installing the SS springs complete the package. However, I've heard they will work with my original struts, and I have also heard the V6 struts have more travel, and the SS springs will "fit" but become unseated if the car is lifted. Anyone have the facts?

Good evening crew. My dad was doing okay today. My younger sister was there when we arrived so got to see her too. We all worked on a puzzle together. Did the grocery shopping & picked up some deeded items for the Vegas trip then a few chores when we got home. Just 5 work days, Saturday to pack & off to Vegas. I hope the heat wave breaks before then.

Enjoy your vacation! If the movie, "Very Bad Things" comes on between now and then, DON'T watch it

Don't know if it's fact but it makes sense..... Might as well do struts and springs then and avoid a potential problem?

And those bars in the photo, are they vert only? Never seen them before.

I'm not sure. But I will take your word for it. I look under a coupe next time I can discretely do so.

And yes, I was thinking about looking for some take off shocks and struts, sometime after I finish my Chevelle heater core project.

I think those bars are only on the convertible part of the extra bracing. I have them on mine now I will need to get under there and check for tightness.

Happy Monday Evening.

All the local news is about the wild fires in the Spring Mountain Range to the west of LV. I grabbed these pics about 90 minutes ago. Scary stuff as the smoke crossed the valley:

Yup, they could be loose.

One fire is contained here, a new fire WAY to my east is raging out of control. Be safe.

I'd love to bring some of our rain out West. It's been like Seattle here..........

My family in Alaska has had quite a bit of smoke due to fire to deal with also..........stay safe all.
