Agreed, HSV front + a name that isn't Caprice = Win!

You know, I just thought about something. If Chevy really wants to name it something new and different that will draw attention, and sounds cool, I say go with the obvious, Commadore. Chevrolet Commadore. This fits the "C" pattern. This is the name of the car down under, and honestly, it just has a great ring to it, IMO
If it is done this way, the Impala can still serve its purpose, and the Caprice nameplate can remain dead as it should be, and the G8 nameplate can still be Pontiac specific. Anyone else think this would work? |

Play it again, GM. Play it again. Low numbers SS Impala while they axe the FWD fam sedan. Fleet sales of the Caprice to Police and Government. Maybe those that want the Caprice again too.. Malibu takes over as the primo Family Sedan for Chevrolet. Dunno why they can't make that work even with the projected numbers it's going to sell. If it's been said before, I'm sorry. But I think if Lutz has this in mind he could be right and make GM some money off missing fleet sales of police interceptors that Ford has gobbled up and Chrysler started edging into with the Chargers after the Caprice died in the 90s. From what I recall some departments still overhaul and cannibalize their Caprices because they're good cars and can't stand to get rid of them..

I agree. It's clean, classy, and aggressive.

can someone explain this, they want to take the standard PONTIAC G8 (holden commodore) and change the name to CAPRICE yet some people here want the HSV front bumper and the name commodore
Problems HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) is not likly to import the hsv gts face alone as its part of a fully upgraded car with engine, interior, exterior upgrades and why should we (australia) give the name commodore over when the end product (G8) was a totally different looking car, also commodore is very special name to aus its like camaro or mustang to you |
