Seriously, you're starting to get really annoying. I'm sorry you don't like this idea, but you really don't have any control over it. If you don't like it, then go buy something else.

First, they're fake. That's the definition of ricer to me. It is pretending to be something it isn't when a clean, elegant design would be much more striking. It would look upscale and adult. And what Pontiac sedan doesn't have fake scoops? Fake add-ons are a Pontiac design cue, and in addition to weird plastic molding are the reason Pontiac hasn't had the best design reputation in quite some time.

I honestly was hoping on the G8 to become the Impala and be trimmed on par as the current Impala option-wise (common mainstream options).
Reasons: -Name game. Impala is a highly recognized nameplate spanning decades on a successful note on both government (police cruisers) and civilian. -The current Impala, I think plays to close to the Malibu area. Keeping the familar name, widening the margin between the two, and replacing the current car with a superior car would at least maintain sale. But I think it would improve both. -The G8 is a great car. I dont want it to be too good but too late. I think there should be an exception to the rule it an entire GM brand dies. Like Lutz said, why waste such a good car. -Chevy needs a rwd 4 door sedan, but they dont need to flood the brand with too many nameplates. Again, It should replace the current Impala. Why do we need two fwd 4 door cars that not that different in purpose and size. But.......... I would like to see some changes if this was to happen. -Like a few have mentioned, the V6 was not competitive. Increasing LLT V6 volume could decrease cost per unit while making it more accessible to more nameplates. But to add to this idea, I think it should share trim and powertrain options with the likes of the Camaro. With the LS3 and L99 available in the Camaro in the low 30s, why should a person have to purchase a Chevy car like made like GXP with a LS3 in the high 30s? I think the LLT (Impala) and LS3/L99 (Impala ss) should be the mainstream choices and a sport package available on the SS trim that makes the Brembos and tighter suspension an option to keep the SS trim prices down and feasibly available to fleet needs (no everyone needs the bells and whistles. i.e. police)

Caprice styling = fail.... when I think Caprice I think of granny cruising around in her huge boat she bought 10 years ago and still has the factory tires and plastic on the seats
As mentioned, changing the facia and rear of a car has again and again meant failure... and now they go from a nicely styled G8 to a bland boring facia??? .... blah |
