Dodo juice offers several waxes that compliment certain colors however, I find it hard to find a difference if compared to a regular wax that compliments every color.

The only test I've seen was using two dodo juice waxes, chemical guys Celeste wax and another which I forgot.
Celeste made the black paint appear darker. That is the only successful test have seen.

Indeed. This statement here is pretty much what draws the line between cleaner waxes and finishing waxes and I can testify to the differences myself.

Last year, I was using Meg's NXT 2.0 on my car for awhile and it made most of my swirls (which were mild as it was) disappear. Now I use Collinite 845 which, while much more durable, still shows all my swirls. I just found out a few weeks ago that NXT 2.0 is a cleaner wax, meaning it contains the same solvents and polymers that clean the paint and fill in fine scratches that dedicated "paint cleaners" have as well as the wax that protects the paint. It's kind of a one-stepper. That is why my swirls disappeared with the Megs NXT 2.0. Collinite 845 contains no cleaners or fillers, which is why my swirls still show even after a fresh coat.

The durability of Collinite 845 in my environmental conditions (South FLA outside-kept DD) cannot be sacrificed, so I have to stick with it. Next month, I really would like to try using a pre-wax paint cleaner (I'm choosing the Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion) prior to the Collinite 845 application to see if I can get the same slickness and swirl-hiding effect that the NXT 2.0 granted, as well as removing all the old wax and revealing a fresh canvas to lay on the 845. That way I get the best of both worlds.

I can see somewhat of a difference between carnaubas and sealants, but if you give me two different brand waxes in the same class, I won't tell a difference. Maybe these effects are more pronounced on colored vehicles. Mine is black which is not a color.

100% agree.......

Hand speed makes all the difference. I think I'll probably hear that in my sleep. Lol.

Again brah thanks for the lesson and all the constructive criticism.

Now I know exactly how to get the most out of what I have and i certainly know what I'll be spending my money on when its time to restock my supplies.

aww thanks guys

Chris, I was happy to help you and it was fun to see you take your paint from swirl to swirl free!

I had a ton of fun polishing your car and getting to know you!

And yes, Rupes is king

What did you guys do for fun today? I had what my kids affectionately call " pajama day "

Didn't get out of my Jammie's cooked breakfast lunch and dinner and just hung out with my three girls(wife included in the three).

Sometimes the best days are when you have nothing to do and just do that!

Hope you all enjoyed your Sunday.

Well that sounds like a good family time!

I spent the day doing yard work.
(5 acres worth of yard work)
