I wouldn't go as far and say the Challenger is a waste. The ZL1 and the Challenger SRT8 is about the same weight, +/- 40lbs. And think SRT is still using a cast iron block for the 6.4 and reports show that the Hellcat will be aluminum. And also the new LA platform that will show on the '15 Challenger will be even lighter by 150-200lbs. So there is a lot of room in weight savings. |

Good question. I just hope Dodge's answer to the Z/28 isn't throwing more power at it, huge sway bar, lower it and call it a day.

In '15 they have modified the platform to accommodate the 8-speed and will now be called the LA platform. They are also modifying a lot of old Mercedes suspension and rigidity components with updated Maserati/Alfa components while using some of the same material which will yield some weight lost and improve structural rigidity to the likes of the Alfa Romeo cars and Maserati Cars. |

This should be fun. I'd love to have another IROC or TRANS AM series again. I missed the first round. =(

CAN AM series would be interesting as well. Or would they start a CAN AM MEX series now that Mexico builds some of the US markets cars?

A renewed TransAm series is VERY possible with Chevy, Dodge and Ford going head to head like they did back in the day. I would LOVE to see that kind of racing again. I think that would be more popular than Nascar because people could buy and drive the street versions of the cars they see competing on the track. And the cars and tires we have today blow away anything that was available in the 1960's.

What was cool about Can Am (if I remember correctly) you could do almost anything to the car, as there were very few rules regarding the actual vehicles. Some had a 1,000+ HP back then.

That Mustang looks small. Maybe a retro Mustang II design?
