Dances With Mustangs
|
Aaaand it looks like Ford is in the game
Looks like Ford is not about to let Chevy and Dodge have this party all to themselves:
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/...oed-on-camera/ http://www.roadandtrack.com/go/futur...and-hot-rumors Seems like Ford is working on a stripped down Mustang for track with n/a engine, independent rear suspension, and other goodies. OH how I HOPE the big 3 are planning on a revived Trans Am manufacturer's championship series!!! Even if they aren't the next few years are going to see some awesome performance cars!

I believe someone on here said it was a stripped down Challenger or possibly when the Barracuda comes back. I don't remember exactly tho.
And good to see Ford wants to respond quickly. Competition between the manufacturers means the consumer wins. |

I have been searching for info on the 2015 Barracuda. I believe they will unveil it at next years NY Auto Show. There is a rumored 6.2 supercharged "hellfire motor" for 600hp plus but I think SRT will have a mountain to climp to make it more of a track car than the z28.
The best source seems to be http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/barracuda.html

The Barracuda is a dead fish in the water (pun intended). Ralph Gilles (President and CEO of SRT) stated that the Barracuda was a rumor that got out of hand and the platform that it would ride on (Alfa/Maserati platform) is not ready and is a couple years out.
Here is what SRT is working on... '15 SRT Challenger. |

I think this thread relates to the Z/28 forum. Maybe change the title of the thread?
Did I see that the SRT offering was FI? If so it will be a competitor for the ZL1 and GT500 not the Z/28.

thanks for the links especially the video...I had not seen that. I'm glad to see ralph acknowledge the z28 as a cool car and they "will answer that"...but the video actually confirms that the cuda is coming. I also heard about the delays with the fiat platform but watch the video again...the cuds is not dead in the water at all. I believe the allpar links about the cuda to be accurate. what they do with the challenger is a waste of effort in my book...that is a real pig.
