it's not hard!!

Thanks. I just relized when I read over it a second time. I have edited the post so that someone else doesn't get confused

I had gotten confused with the rear end gear ratios. Where a 2.72:1 is a high gear and a 4.11:1 is a low gear

KJ...Like above^ there's nothing really to it after you drive a standard for a good while. It just becomes instinct. Like you're more coordinated than you might think!

To take a little pressure off you (if you learn to drive a stick), my dad put me in his vette and said have at it. Now, when i was driving his grey vette today it was such a breeze , double clutching, fast and furious shifting you get the picture, just comes with time and patience.

Here's a pic of a similar vette i learned on....damn sure miss his JSB vette :(

Well I guess I'm late on the "learning how to drive manual" discussion but better late than never, right?

So my buddy asked his dad to teach him how to drive stick and his dad agreed. They get in a truck and my friend turns it on and puts it in first gear. Stall. His dad says that every time he makes the truck stall, he's gonna smack my friend on the back of the head. Well it took my friend 20 minutes and 5 smacks before he got the knack of it.

Oh and don't worry about stalling an auto. I've done it THREE TIMES!

Why were you putting it in D while driving? We're you just trying to get out of M? You know you can hold the right shift button for about 5 seconds and it will switch from M back to S without shifting to D.
