It pays to have a brother who's not a FF fan
I get an e-mail from my brother telling me he has an email and code from Square enix that he won't use and that he was forwarding it to me. Turns out, it's a closed beta key for FFXIV: ARR.
Downloading the client right now. 20 GB is a lot for a game. =P Hopefully I'll be able to play this weekend. =) |

sounds like a plan. I'm not sure what class to create. Doubt I will get to test out end game as all the classes, but it'll fun to try the game for free. =)

I'm off work in 45 minutes. I'll be making a character tonight and checking it out.Looks like we can't make summoners yet. I'm going with a thaurmatist I think.

Hit lvl 10. story immerses you pretty well so far. the only thing I dislike is the non sound bytes to go with the animation. We'll see if they put that in. The gameplay is pretty slow and I don't like the frames, but overall the game has impressed me quite a bit.
