What happened to the emergency redesign that was supposed to make the back seat bigger and all that?

Yeah that's what everyone says but as a big man the Malibu just lacks the room in the front seats to be comfy. Now when I say that i don't mean leg room but side to side room between the pillar and the console then the lower part of the dash where your knees hit(door panel-2-console). I think the reason the cruze felt bigger was because of how far down and back the seats go with "down" being the biggest surprise.

I guess you didn't read the part that says they improved the size of the rear seat area?

So I'm lazy..............somebody post before and after pictures.

IMO they needed to redo the whole center stack. The rounded top and HVAC ducts were ugly when I first saw the Malibu 3 years ago.

Hopefully never. The Malibu is a fwd family hauler, not a rwd muscle car. Trying to make a fwd family hauler look like an iconic rwd muscle car is a terrible, terrible idea.

Abso-freakin'-lutely! I know I've said it somewhere before, but I think VF did Malibu styling better than the Malibu does.

Erm...you do realize that (except for Impala) there's one corporate steering wheel common to every Chevy car?

Well, ok. But - they should still come out with a retro chevelle, then.

I've been critical of GM redesigns lately (Camaro, Silverados have been fails imo) but this is a homerun. I love the Malibus look. I'm also ok with the Camaro-like rear.

If I was in the sedan market this would top my list.

Not a bad looking ride at all. I'll probably go check one out when they get on the lots. I kinda like the bigger, beefier nose.
