More info on LT1 output

I found this posted on GMI:

http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2013/...-lb-ft-torque/

If these numbers are true for the C7, it's a safe bet the numbers for the 6th gen will be 450 hp and 455 lb ft.

I was thinking it might be more of a bump from the LS3's 435. I was thinking in the Vette it might come in at 470-475. Meaning the next generation SS might get a 460HP LT-1.

I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed until we see the official press release w/ SAE certified numbers. Regardless though, it's still gonna be more power in a lighter Camaro.

I'm not disappointed. A bit more HP, with a stronger TQ curve in an all new new chassis.

This car is going to kick major butt, and so will the 6th gen Camaro.

So the question is which version is he talking about

This is either total BS or someone at GM caught wind and changed it back. If you actually go to the website and open those PDFs they say "450 estimated".

I'm going to guess he was talking about the N63B44TU, since the S63's would be for M-series BMWs and the N63B44 doesn't even make the same HP as the LS3.
