Drive In Movies

I'm planning on going to see Fast and Furious 6 and Oblivion at the Super322 drive in (near Clearfield, PA) this Saturday, and for only $6! It got me wondering how many drive in's are still around, and how many people still enjoy going to them. It seems as though they're becoming a thing of the past.

If any fellow Camaro owners from the area are interested in going Saturday we should meet up and roll in together!

There's a couple around here, cool experience, but I wouldn't go see a movie like Fast and Furious 6 in one, just because I don't feel as 'in' the movie lol

I agree. Being that I only live 20min from an IMAX (Pittsburgh Mills), I've been seeing most blockbusters there over the past couple of years. Amazing quality. But FF6 isn't in IMAX, and since I'm going to be spending Memorial Day weekend back home with the family anyway, I figured why not watch it from the comfort of my Camaro? lol

There are a couple near us one in TN & one in KY. Our Camaro club is going this weekend to the one in KY to see the Fast & the Furious. Actually from our club page the movies are "first one being a kids animated movie called EPIC. The main movie, and the reason we'll go is Fast & Furious 6".

There is only 1 in Glendale AZ that we go to from time to time. Its actually kinda cool and you don't spend as much as you would if you went to a indoor theater. If only they could improve the sound quality. There used to a bunch of outdoor theaters in AZ but now there are only 2 that survived.

There is one in Danville, PA and I plan on going this weekend. $7.50 for two movies and you can bring your own food. Some people tailgate before the movies. It is such a cool experience.

We have a 4 screen drive in here in Niagara, one screen got taken out by a tornado a few years back but they rebuilt it so that's a good sign.
