Audi, or not?
I am going to be replacing my Sonic as a daily driver sometime very soon, and have been researching various cars, trucks and SUV's. I'll be getting either a ZL1 or Stingray as well, so the performance/weekend driving will be taken care of.
For a daily driver, I really am looking more into the interior/luxury aspects of a car and that is a place where Audi excels. One thing I do know is I want the car to be AWD, which is another place Audi excels. Lastly, I want a little more room for friends/family, so comfortably seating 4-6 would be nice, though not absolutely necessary. Being able to tow a trailer would be a plus. Right now, the first car on the list is the Audi Q5 Prestige, with the options I want making it an MSRP of almost 60k. An A6 or S6 is also a possibility if I don't want to use the car to tow anything. I've also looked at the Cadillac SRX AWD and the ATS AWD, with options making either of them around 55-57k. I've also been looking at Chevy/GMC trucks. Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences with Audi?

I like this one.....that's what I suggest you get. On our dyno today, Bad azz NA (almost 600 AWHP) and adding a turbo to it to boot:

They're nice cars but my cousin's Audi was in the dealer's service bay more than in his garage.

I love Audis. I would only getting if you can afford an extended warranty or maintenance plan with it though.

Were there any issues with your Sonic? You should definitely remain in the GM family if you're back in the market! Let me know if you have any questions. William R. Chevrolet Customer Care

60k for a Q5? That is an insane price for such a small SUV. I think a Cayenne diesel is a much better deal at that price point.

Volkswagen as a whole had issue with its automatic transmissions a few years ago. I don't know if that has been fixed with recent models.

Hey Steve, have you looked into the new Tesla? Has some pretty impressive numbers, its luxurious and seats 5.

Be assured, I won't be out of the GM family. I still plan to either get a ZL1 or Stingray

If I go with Audi, I will likely get the SQ5, which is similar to the Prestige with a 3.0 Supercharged engine, but more horsepower.

I'm very impressed with the interior and MMI the Audi's have though. Far better than what I've seen from GM (including the Cadillac).

Had a Q5 last year and traded that for the S4 we have now.
. That being said, just drove an S-line Q5 as a loaner as the S4 had sunroof that decided to NOTclose. As I've posted before, Audi has a refined level of luxury and great ride and handling. Dealer service is outstanding, which I am sad to say I have discovered more times than with our Cruze. Audis have OUTSTANDING real world FE. You will get what sticker says on the highway driving real world speeds. Not 61 mph like you have to do with a GM vehicle. But honestly, the biggest reason we bought the S4 over the ATS was trunk space for 2 sets of golf clubs. Audi fits them easily. The ATS required gymnastics and tricky positoning to barely fit the same 2 bags. Audi makes great car. But the Cadillacs can compete with them and from a certain point of view the Caddy will give you more flash and bang for your buck.
