It was actually the other way around on the G8 sales. The G8 GXP sold quickly. Many things contributed to that: The availability of the LS3, a manual option, only offered for one year, and the last unique Pontiac (besides the cool Solstice coupe). Only 1,829 GXP's were made, and the only reason some stayed on the lot for a while was because some dealerships were having crazy markups on them.
