Does this car belong to someone from The Blueman Group?

You know what guys? I went to the Comic Con a few weeks ago, and seeing all these people dress up (I was not) made me appreciate a different section of society who enjoys building costumes (some take a year to make). Some costumes were lame, some were pretty amazing.

After that experience, I look at these cars and realize that some people just like a certain look. There's a difference between faking performance parts, and just having an arty look for fun. Some of these cars in this thread are clearly the latter. I think the first pic with the plumbing pipes looks like a joke car made by a student to get a laugh from his friends. The car in the link of post #15 looks like an art project to me.

Clearly the people at the Comic Con don't think they have a functioning laser gun, they're just dressing up and enjoying themselves, and I think some people don't give a rats ass about performance, they just like a certain look. As long as they're not faking it with badges I think I'm quite happy to enjoy their work of art. I think the author of the article about the Dodge with the hoses sticking out of the fender just doesn't get it.

With the top down, it may not look too bad. Not my taste, but I could see my daughter doing something like that.
