New Colorado Spy Photos

Surprised this hasn't showed up yet. Looks like it is changing a bit from the original Malibu ute front end.

I posted them in the Silverado thread since the next-gen midsize was mentioned.

Powertrains will be interesting to see.

I figured you would have posted them somewhere, now it has its own thread though I am really excited for this truck as I feel the current half-tons are just getting way too big for my liking!

If it turns out to be a good looking truck with as much room as previous models and can be had with the new 4.3 or god for bid (the 5.3 as a 4 door) I'm selling my 99 z/28 and buying one STAT!!!!!

Good lord...couldn't imagine what the 5.3 would be like in the Colorado. It would be a beast...especially on E85 with over 400TQ lol.

The 4.3 V6 would be more than enough power and with cylinder shutoff could get good highway mileage. LFX would also be good, but with less TQ, and probably no better overall mileage.

A turbo 4 would likely do well, just not sure if it would be all that great for hauling/towing, but they do make good TQ as well.

Heres hoping they can actually make the mileage and performance of this truck attractive, not just marginally better than the Silverado. Either that, or the price has to be much more attractive than that of the Silverado. Otherwise it will fail.

Thank God the design has changed from the Global version.

It'd be awesome to see a 5.3 4WD off road version.

Hate to burst your bubbles but Reuss has said it won't share powertrains with the K2XX full size trucks.

Fen, is it possible that the new Colorado will get the 2.8L Duramax Diesel? 180hp@3800rpm and 354 lb-ft of torque@2000rpm

Is that suppose to be the same diesel that the Cadillac ATS will be getting?

I know you said they want better mileage in the other thread but does that mean no V8 in the Colorado?

That would be a great engine for the Colorado! I really hope they consider the diesel. That could possibly get close to 30 mpg.

So no 4.3L LV3 V6 in the Colorado?
