sanding question
I recently painted all my interior trim pieces.
I sanded them with 600 grit Used adhesion promoter Krylon paint 3 coats. Then 3 coats of clear While they did come out good I used white paint to see if I liked it. Which I do but now I want to use the IOM paint I got. How would I go about prepping the painted trim pieces for painting again?

Just sand them again and paint.

Duplicolor makes a gray build primer also referred to as a filler primer. It will hide any imperfections and smooth out the surface. I used it on my engine cover. Came out great.

I'm not a fan of totally smooth everything ... consistency is best IMO.
Repainting always need a 'keying' surface, 1000 may be too smooth ? 2000 on final hardset clearcoat before TCUT polish. |
