If Detroit is hockey town then Montreal is the motor city. How do you feel about Detroit moving to the East next year?
Playoffs start tonight and I'm looking forward to some good hockey!!

I really like the Red Wings chances against Anaheim given what happened in the regular season and how much better we've played this last week.
22? That's it? Hawks and the Blues held that distinction for more seasons and Detroit is not Hockeytown. A lot of empty seats at that stadium even when the Wings are hot and it has been like that for years. They pack in high school games in Minnesota.

I'm not even bashing the Wings either and I've never been a Wing hater but there are places in Minnesota that will make you think you're in Canada with their hockey fever. I've never seen that anywhere else in the U.S.

I dont doubt that there are places like that. Not just in Minne, but all across the northern US. And im pretty sure every team will have empty seats at any given game.

About moving to the East, it's ok but I live in southern Indiana so really the only chance I get to see the Wings is when theyre in Nashville or St. Louis, where theyll only play once in each stadium next year which kinda sucks. Will be nice to see how we stack up against the East teams on a more regular basis though.

I watched that game tonight, I expect Boston to pretty much walk over the Leafs. I just don't think they're good enough. I'm looking for the Wings to bounce back tomorrow night and play some good Detroit hockey.

Chara's height is hilarious when you see him on skates and Naoko Funiama(local on ice journalist) interviews him.
As for the Penguins...I hope they go down in a flaming pile of poo, and not even because of the pens, but because of Iginla and his dump on the Bs at the deadline.

I think if the Wings move to the Burbs it will help them. There is an article I read on it and if I can dig it up I'll send it to you. Detroit was hit the hardest with the economic trouble so there are a lot of local fans that moved looking for work.

Last I heard they want to build a new stadium and get away from the city.

Big game for the Habs tonight. It would be nice if they could bounce back from falling apart in the 3rd period last night.

Anyone watching the Blues / Kings series? I haven't seen entire games but when I flip over those guys are flying. LA needs to win the next game

Can't blame Iggy for wanting to go to a better team.
