That's gotta be annoying. Here, the background check takes 30-ish minutes and then we pay for it and walk out the door with it.

Ya know, I'm used to it, so I don't mind. Not like I have time to go shooting right now anyways. Lol

I'm one of those people that, if I spend money on something, I want to walk out of the store with it that day. Not that I specifically need it right now or anything... I just feel weird paying money for something and then not picking it up until a week or two later...

Buying furniture is definitely strange for me...

Looks like the pricing is coming down.

I just grabbed a POF P308 for a nice deal on Gunbroker. Should be here next week.

Not sure about other .308s, but I grabbed the POF at $2450.00 (almost $800 off retail). That's cheaper than it was before the hype.

There were a couple of past auctions that went for a few dollars cheaper, but those were the 14" SBRs. Everything else I found that actually sold was higher. I can live with that.

Of course now I have to go buy hardware!

Any ideas? Pretty sure I'm going with Troy battle sights again, but still wondering about optics. I have an EoTech EXPS2 with a 3X magnifier on my .223. Should I stick with the same for this? Also considering going with an ACOG.

Mags and ammo.

For the optics/irons, that depends on what you plan on doing.

Yea...I know. I was just thinking out loud. Not sure what direction I want to go with this one.

I definitely want some magnification, but I'm not sure if I should do another EOTech with the 3X or go for an ACOG. I'm not putting huge glass on this weapon, because I'm going to end up with a Remington 700 at some point.

I do like the fact that there are ACOGs that are specifically setup for 7.62. I'm leaning towards the TA11E.

Yeah it sucks but having a pretty rifle with no ammo is not much fun.

I would go with a 1-4x optic for a rifle like that. It should help cover up close to a reasonable distance where your 700 would take over.

My P308 should be here next Tuesday or Wednesday, so I ordered the following.

Trijicon ACOG TA11E-G
Troy Micro Tritium Battle Sights
Larue Tactical LT681 ACOG Mount
Larue Tactical Handstops (going to try these out instead of a vertical foregrip)

I'll keep an eye out for PMAGs and ammo, but I'm not paying crazy money for them.
