I live very close to a similar type Situation with a lot of old very high dollar old Mopars that are going to waiste in a field because the owner is nuts and will shoot anyone that comes near his land. There are many 426 hemi cars, 440 and a few 340's. what a shame for sure.

I use to see a few american cars in japan when I was stationed there from time to time especially at night when the streets were not as congested. We knew that the people who could afford to pay the high taxes on these cars had to be wealthy. Imported american cars did not have to be right hand drive and that also made it harder to drive on the left hand side of the street. We had to have an "A" driver or assistant driver when driving our military vehicles off base to assist the primary driver thru traffic.

It was not uncommon to see muscle cars racing the streets after midnight with Fairlady Z's, Silvia's, Mazda's Cosmo's and Savanna RX7's and also the infamous Skyline GTR's back in the '80's and the '90's.

If you were in the muscle car hobby in the '80s and '90s, you saw this all the time if you were parts hunting at junk yards.

I saw a 1969 Buick California GS (there's a name for you car buffs- not a model that just had Cali emissions equipment, a rare variant of the GS) in a junkyard. Used to store hubcaps. When all the hubcaps were sold, they crushed it. that was around '98. I saw Satellites, Chevelles, 442s, a slew of '70s Trans Ams, Fairlane 500s, A Spoiler II, almost anything, you name it. Crunch.

you referring to the 67 California Nailhead? Reason they called the 67 the Nailhead was because the 401 had such small valves. Changing the heads on it made it an impressive vehicle.

Friend of mine restores cars and he tells horror stories of cars returning to their base elements, and owners who have unrealistic ideas of restoring them. Some of these guys watch auctions on TV and think that all of their stuff is worth 6 figures.
