Car companies always come out with these super futuristic concept cars and nothing ever comes from it. The concepts always look terrible, and they always get swept under the rug shortly after

Hahaha very true. well I mean like, over the last few years, BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Cadillac, and many others have all come out with these cars with crazy designs and then the design never makes it past the concept phase.

Not until the GM executives saw the public reaction to it, it didn't take long for them to announce that it would be produced.

Concept cars and prototypes typically show off various things on one vehicle. Not intended to be what the company brings to market, it's intended to showcase multiple things
