The Senate bill to expand background checks just failed to receive the needed 60 votes.
Dodged that bullet. Hopefully now we can focus on common sense solutions.

Oh I'm sure. But I'm pretty sure this means they can't bring up the same proposed bill until the next Congressional meeting, which probably won't happen until next year or even the year after.
(I could be totally wrong on that, I'm just going off what I remember from my US politics class)
