lmao they all really do look out of place because of the curved bottom imo. I was thinking about going with an SS front but I realized how many people look for a mailslot to see if its a v8 or not.

in the end, we all just need zl1s with 30+ mpg and no exponential growth in insurance rates...we'd all be happy
I know I'll probably get flamed for this but I just don't like the ZL1s. Sure they look amazing but man are they slow on the drag strip. Yes I know they aren't meant for that but you'd think that if you were paying 60000+ you'd get a monster of a car but that's not what I've seen at all. At the local strip where I run 14.2s, we had a ZL1 come in and run a 13.3. If an extra 40,000 gets you .9 of a second, I'd be disappointed. Hell I could spend 2000, get nitrous, and beat it everytime out. I know it's not a fair comparison and all but I was really disappointed. Now, on the road course, they are complete animals. But for me, I'd probably go with a shelby over the zl1

you wont get flamed at all. thats what a lot of zl1 owners say. from the one I met in PA, he was actually really disappointing, but he said it was one of the best handling cars ever (which is weird to hear about a camaro haha)

some mods into that would make it a real beast though. I just always want more...

just for the looks alone, i'd have to go with the zl1. although, we are getting pretty close to base stingray prices, so i'd have to test drive that first. lol

You can make make a V6 look like a ZL1.

I am very happy with my Sixer.

I wouldn't disagree with you at all. If I had the money for a ZL1 I would save some money and buy a 1LE and mod it with the money that was saved. Now if I could spend a little more than a ZL1 I think I would look at the new Stingray

If I had the money I'd probably start with either the SS or the 1LE (depending on if I was concerned with handling at all) and make it a lot faster than the ZL1. I feel like with the ZL1, I'd probably keep it stock. Which is hard for me to say because thanks to this site, I now look at every car and think "hmm... I would change those".
