I'm an English teacher and like you I could do the basics, but it wasn't until I got my Camaro that I really started learning and turning the wrench. I bought my car about a couple months after my Dad had his stroke so that we could bond over it and work on it together. We had never really done that growing up, which was a shame because he had a beautiful '68 he used to drag race, but better late than never!
I've gotta say though, without this website, I NEVER would have gotten into my car as I have. This forum is just so packed with information and great people that I've always been able to resolve any issues I had by simply looking in the DIY section or posting a question. I love Camaro5!

I'm a hotel electronics tech now .. Before this I did car audio and motorsports for many years. I still do that work on the side because I enjoy it.

I work on almost anything a railroad engine pulls up and down the rails. No glamor, but it's a fun job for me who likes working hands on and outdoors! I drive a service truck for mobile calls and get to see ALOT of nice Camaros on the roads!
 I was a vehicle mechanic for close friends and family just for a hobby so I could relax and be challenged now and then before I moved to Florida. I miss that...... Jack of alot of traits, master of none!
