just tape off the rear and you are good to go. get some floss or fishing line to remove the bowtie. never used a hair dryer, but yes, goo gone is a must.

Thanks. That looks great. I was thinking about dipping the bowtie and putting it back on, but now i might as well go with a debadged theme. But i'll definitely need to dip the front bowtie until i can get the delete piece thing. How to take off the front bowtie?

basically, it's clipped on. I could do it in a few seconds, if you know what you are feeling for...

I didn't have to grind anything, when I took the stock downpipe off my other Camaro.

I had to grind it off to slide the coupler forward. I don't think there was a way for me to get around it. The little nub was just big enough to be a nuisance.

edit: i'm pretty sure i'll need it to put the stock clamp back on.

Unsnap the front Bowtie one side at a time. Start on one side, put your fingers behind the Bowtie to pull away and your thumbs against the grill to push against. Wiggle (kinda rotate) up and down while you pull. Don't worry about breaking anything, you'll need lots of force. When one side unsnaps, do the same thing on the other side.

If you can get the down pipe off, you won't need it. The little nub is on the down pipe, so once you have it off, the coupler just slides right off (towards the back).
Unless your talking about the bigger metal nub that's on the stock excuse pipes behind the coupler?
