Michigan Newbie Here

Hello all! Just wanted to formally say hello to everyone. I have been lurking for a while gathering some great info, preparing for my first Camaro purchase. A big thanks to all of you that have contributed some great information on all things camaro - it has helped so much! This forum is fantastic.

Since I was a kid I have loved the 1st gen camaros, then when the 5th gen made its debut I knew one day I would have to have one. But then they had to go and make a full size Hot Wheels edition of my favorite car in my favorite color - well that was my sign....

Needless to say I am delighted to report that I am a proud new owner of a beautiful blue HWSE 2LT. Hot wheels logos or not I had to have that blue! I know I will be kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on the 2SS but I already have enough speeding tickets and that car payment would give me a heart attack. So I'll make do with my V6 for now and just keep a spot open in my garage for a Z/28!!

I look forward to getting to know you guys and becoming a camaro expert with the help from this wonderful community, thanks again everyone for making this such a great resource.

Fish-Man - thanks for the PSA on blacking out the bowties is definitely on my to-do list as soon as my tint job is done. Did you go with defenderworx or vinyl? I'll admit I am a lil hesitant on drilling anything but I am sure it prolly is the way to go.

Plastidip right over the OE gold. We'll see how it holds up. I had some from another project that didn't turn out well, and decided to just give it a try. I need to line up tint too...

ahh plastidip, I wasn't familiar with that but looked into it and for under $10 I'll give it a try. DIY vinyl would prolly piss me off with air bubbles so didn't want to go that route but we shall see if plastidip is a winner, thanks for the heads up!
