Laptop Woes

Sigh yesterday my Dell Inspiron 8600 died yesterday (after surviving four years of service). The screen just went completely haywire. It use to work just perfectly fine but became more distorted and fading over last past year. And being and engineering student a laptop is kinda vital to my classes So I bought a Mac book (b/c Vista is a major turn off to me).

^Well that sucks. At least you got a nice new one. Just FYI...random info...I take at least 4 to 5 burglaries of vehicles a week. 90% of the veh burglaries I take include a missing laptop. They go lot hotcakes. Keep it outta site. That means the bag too....either in the trunk or on you at all times. Theives know what the bags are...

Yeah well my laptop is always with me on campus and in my room at night when I come home for State. Plus I don't Leave my car outside at night (it's parked in a garage at my house and to get to it you'll have to go behind two houses and then back between the two houses). But anyways Thanks for the tip.

Do you like the macbook so far? My girlfriend was thinking of getting one when she goes back to school. I personally don't like laptops, but those who need the portability they work well for. Very good in not getting a Dell again though =)

Well I haven't got it yet I ordered it and it should come sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday. But from what I heard from people who do have they loved it. I'll end up checking one out tomorrow if I have to do some webassign at State's Library tomorrow.

I used to have one of those. The hard drive went out within a few months. They sent me a new one and it happened again. I'm never going back to Dell, especially after using my MacBook for so long.

mac books are good computers indeed, it's a shame about your old laptop going out. So far as I know the only really reliable brands out there are sony(expensive as shit) Medion(now they only do disney products :( ) and macbook (which you currently have) good choice I say

Well, I got my Mac book yesterday and I love it. It runs so much faster compared to my desktop (then again it does have 4 gb of ram). all the short-cut command i've learned since using both windows and linux I've had to adjust to but really it seems easier to me than windows. The only draw back is that I have CNC3 for PC but not mac, So i'll guess I'll install xp on it later today or so.
