So you lump all of us together and call us all crazy and that we want to kill everyone nice.

Just because you and the people that you hang with don't carry doesn't mean it wrong. I personally hope you're never faced with a situation where you wish you had one and don't.

Time will tell if the shooter was in the right or not. I personally wouldn't discharge my weapon over a car unless I felt that I or a loved one was in danger. In saying, I do carry and most everyone I know does mainly because of the type of work we do and the places we end up and I wouldn't consider any of us mentally disturbed.

I have guns and guess what, I'm not looking to kill anybody. However, if I feel threatened for my life or my family's, I won't hesitate. You scared bro?

And also just so you know, people who have truly honest opinions, are not going to be concerned about what "random people online" think about it". You can't force anyone to change their opinion, and also a normal confident person who already has established his definition of his viewpoint, is not going to modify it for someone he has never met before online. It won't happen. I completely respect your opinions about guns but I am just saying my opinion and it isn't designed to make you change your opinion. If you want to be george zimmerman, I have no intention to try to change you. That is your own person choice and you have my complete respect to go around shooting anyone you want and carry as many guns around that you want.

There is nothing to debate here. Everyone has different opinions. I am glad no one is taking away your right to have guns. Do what makes you feel happy and fulfilled.

You know, any nut can get a car, go get drunk and kill someone too. Does that mean that everyone person that has a car is crazy?

I do agree with you in a way. Control the nuts and the crooks which; we don't do as a society and you won't have to worry about guns.

honeslty, it's reasons like that, that i feel it's good to carry. because you have no idea when or where some crazy motherf*cker is going to pull out their gun. doesn't mean i'm wanting it to happen, but at least i feel i can better defend myself, if i am carrying.

that's all fine and dandy, but when you label every person that carries a gun, a crazed lunatic...it might bother some people. lol

Now your just being a troll and you wouldn't be stating your opinion if you didn't want to try and invoke a rise or change others minds. So how are you any different in stating your opinion than me? I'm not the one that blew that worthless dribble out of my face.

You are right though, I don't give two s$#ts about who you are and what you think. You wouldn't even have the right to be speaking your opinion in a car forum in the USA if it wasn't for people that weren't afraid to pick up a gun.

in Louisiana we cannot defend property with lethal force, so I wouldn't have shot the thief... but in a state that would allow me to, I probably would have enjoyed removing a non contributing member of society from the taxpayer's payroll

I have actually had to make this choice in real life once. I was staying at my mom's one night and, to make a long story short, he broke in her bedroom window, got halfway in, caught 4 hot 10mm rounds from yours truly.

Scared bro? Yes, it was like a real life horror movie. Hesitate? Not even a nanosecond! Would I do it again? Every day of the week! When you have no other choice, you'll know it! I wouldn't shoot anyone for stealing my vehicle though. Seems like there were other choices still left for the guy who shot the theif in the original post.

You have zero comprehension of 99% of gun owners. Zero. You're part of the problem.

actually he does have a point, his statement was SOME, and yes there are some people out there that want any excuse to use their weapon.. Such is the nature of people.

99% are like you and me, we have the right to carry, we enjoy the hobby of firearms (or any weaponry, personally I love swords), and we respect the weapon for what it is and what it can do.

but there is that 1% out there that is just looking for an excuse to use it, you have to realize that, and it is that 1% that the media, and our Gov't focuses on and makes laws for, and it is that 1% that screws it up for the other 99%, just like with anything else in life.

First off, I wouldn't ever leave my car on in the driveway for more than 10 seconds. With that being said. If I were to leave it started and unattended and were to walk out and see someone in it that I thought had a gun and was pointed at me. And I had a gun handy yes I would shoot him, not to kill but to wound. The last thing I would want is for my car to be hurt. Also if the person is trespassing on your property can't you warn them and if they don't comply aren't you allowed to act in a way to remove them? But if you were to leave your car running. Hear someone get in it would you have time to go out of your way to grab a firearm? I'd dial 911 if I suspected something, and if I saw someone in my car I would hit the call button. Is a car worth someone's life? No. Is a car worth a criminal/thief/punk? You tell me

He is dead because of his OWN CHOICES. If I had a gun I probably would have emptied the rest of the gun into him at point blank. This is why I don't own a gun. Blunt objects are fine for men. Gun owners are one thing only, scared for themselves/family/dog, and they think with a instant kill button that they get their manhood back and sleep sounder at night. Not giving thought to the lives it may destroy if it falls into the wrong hands. Its not about protection, we have locks on our houses and police for that. And if you don't trust your police maybe you should reevaluate your living conditions and go to a place that doesn't make you want to own murder tools. American culture is far too immature to operate firearms in this century, and has gotten to the point where it just creates criminals, because there is very little oppertunity. No regard for human life on both ends of the spectrum. And to those who think you have rights and are free in the USA, LOL. Can't even protest without getting arrested now for terrorism. Your stocks of guns arn't going to save you when they sick the military on its civilians. After they run out of oil filled countries with brown people to oppress its not going to be pretty.

Honestly I'm surprised this didn't end as 'Person shoots at thief, kills innocent person in opposing house across the street.'
