This is the best way to let off steam from having a boss you want to knock out.

I strength train the same way I was trained in college......27 years ago. Use machines to isolate muscle groups. Perform your reps using the highest weight you can do a minimum of 10 times while maintaining perfect form, 2 counts to contract the muscle, 4 counts on release. Once you can perform 13 reps perfectly, increase the weight by no more than 5%.

Again this is not weight lifting, it's strength training. Now that I'm older I focus on really slowing down the movement to burn the muscle. For cardio I stick to the elliptical, immediately following strength training. 30 minutes at 1.7 keeps my heart rate up long enough to build my stamina.

I go to the gym three times a week, but most of my workouts are done at home or outdoors! My last workout? A 13.1 mile run on Sunday followed by the worst stomach bug I have had for a long time that put me out of the game for the past two days!! I will be back at it tomorrow though!

13.1 miles, geez you'd have to drag me up my stairs back to my apartment after that, I am not a fan of Cardio enough. 6 miles max and that's pushing it.

Legs yesterday was my last workout, great workout if I may say, looking forward to Shoulders/Calves later today and Tris/Bis tomorrow

today!

did upper back, traps, bi's, quads and calves.

my area of improvement is cardio, i usually do 30-45mins per gym trip which is 2.5-4 miles on the elliptical since i get bad shin splints.

post-workout i crush a 'hulk load' shake - water/ice, protein powder, banana, strawberries or blueberries, coconut oil, help oil and kale.

i also take supplements like OxyElite and Diesel Test - man they make a huge difference.

So I solved my busy gym problem. I go in the mornings now before work. It sucks getting up a little earlier but i'm alert and awake by the time I get to work. Nice byproduct aside from solving my initial issue.
