Im looking forward to the new mustang. The current version mustang really did not stand a chance with the new Camaro. It was a 2005 design with some updated change's that was nice but they needed a whole new platform to compete imo.

I love how Mustang owners feel the need to post changes to there platform on this side of the fence to hope and attempt to stay relevant. Things aren't lookin bright for them which is painfully obvious.

Agreed. I wish Chevy would be little more open too. I understand the need to keep some stuff under wraps but it isn't like they're designing the Stealth Bomber here.

Huh? looks like the mustang has been holding it's own pretty damned well in ever model to model comparison to me and in most cases actually has an advantage in performance.

Now that I think about it,

I have to say that I feel at this point in time, Ford is likely WELL ahead of just doing clay modeling. Im sure they are.

So these pics are either old shots posted up by Ford to stir interest (and may not even be close to the real deal) or they are completely irrelevant.

I'm really not big on this "Theme" idea getting slapped on these pony cars. I do understand the logic and branding behind it... but the Unique-ness that are the Mustang, Challenger, and Camaro should remain intact.

I fear GM will do the same with the Camaro for the 6th gen, and for me that will just make it another Chevy. GM knocked it out of the park with the 5th gen, using out of the box ideas. Please don't box yourself in again, GM.

Now back on topic...

Good luck Ford.

I'm sorry that statement makes 0 sense. I'm quite certain the mustang has held its own for a very long time. Ford has done really well on a old platform vs the new Camaro imo.

Well, the '69 was my all-time favorite Stang...BOSS '02 with the filled-in quarter scoop, BOSS '29 for the honkin' hood, the 3-lite tail. Clean, Shelby-inspired, and (for them) a sales success (299,824 vs. 243,065 Camaro).

If the claymation is to be believed (along with the 'blueprints' in the background), there seems to be an in-Fusion of family schnoz...

I don't think the Evos-looking front end will go well with a fastback style, but I'll wait and see how it plays out.

If the 2015 Mustang looks like a 2door Fusion it will be a big mistake.

Sales are near the same and the Camaro is a 3 model year old car at this point. I don't think Ford needs the Mustang to stay relevant when its not their car that was killed off due to poor sales.
