If you're looking for a pre-workout stimulant there are many, one that has absolutely no jitters is Lean Revolution. If you want one for the "pump" then you would want a NO Booster but most of those will give you the jitters and some the shits mainly because of L-Argenine, AAKG and caffine but pre-workouts drinks such as NO Boosters do absolutely nothing to promote muscle growth or strength so rather than wasting money on them I'd go for the dextrose and whey and if you want a stimulant a cup of black coffee works.
Very informative. Thank you!

Getting started with a nice 15-20 min cardio warm up does wonders for my workouts.

I just started my cardio routine not too long ago (about 2 weeks) that I do after every winter, and I usually go from 234-240 to about 215-220lbs. in a few months. I do 40-45 minutes on a treadmill at a 3-3.5mph at a 6-12% incline, then I do my weight lifting after that. Does wonders, especially on leg days lol And P.S., stay away from Gatorade. It doesn't contain all the electrolytes you need and is packed with sugar.

That is exactly what you want in a pre workout drink combined with whey protein. The sugar or any high glycemic carb is supposed to spyke your insulin and act as a transport system for the protein, the sugars are easily burned as energy during the workout so fat gain is not a problem. This is the only time I recomend high GI carbs. Post workout meal can also be higher in GI but complex starchy carbs are preferred over simple carbs.

Last time I worked out at a gym.. June 2012..
I tore three tendons in my left shoulder on flat bench, haven't gone back since. I went for just over a year at that point.. Still hurts like hell.

I'm an electrician, and have a physical enough job to not worry about getting fat.. I'm in better shape that most people who do work out

LOTS of people go to the gym JUST to "look good". Hell, I go to the gym JUST to look good too. I eat healthy, and I keep a good level of fitness, but the end result isn't for me to live longer . Wheels you've said it yourself... most lifters' general level of fitness is laughable.

You can do a lot to stay fit with doing general exercising at home and around town WITHOUT going to the gym. Pushups, sit-ups/planks, pull-ups, running, biking, jumping rope, hiking, rock climbing, swimming...

That said, I also live in SoCal, where some of the most vain people I've ever met live...

Thought I'd share this. Some may be familiar with fat grip bars . It increases the width of your barbell or dumbells and is designed to increase grip and arm strength. They are becoming very popular in use. I was incoraged to try a set of Fat Gripz, it is a simple hard rubber sleeve that fits over your standard equipment but widens the grip. I have used them recently and today I used them in a full arm workout and I must say I am impressed. My arms are beat, even with dropping weight slightly as to become ucustomed to the new grip. I normally have a very strong grip and large forearms but these beat the hell out of them and the pump was significant. I wouldn't hesitate to recomend trying these or if you have access to fat grip bars give them a try. Although nothing to compare it to here is the pump in my left arm.
