So tonight at work (GM)

We were shut down early on 2nd shift and 3rd shift was sent home due to failures in the HD duramax trannys. This also effects 2 other plants in the US.

From what I understand, trannys were breaking almost instantly when the new trucks were being tested.

Ouch. I beat the hell out of my 2005 and no problems with the tranny even after i put over 100k on it.

It was a spring that was breaking from what I understand so Im sure whoever supplies that spring wont be happy in the morning

seems like whoever bought the spring isnt happy now =x

Good that it happened so early instead of, say, 3months into the trannies life. That would create recalls, bad press, and serious warranty expense.
