450 isn't the final number. FFS.

No it's not....

I realize the car is light dude. Hasn't stopped the rest of the market from turning it up to 11.

I will agree, the interior looks pretty nice. A bit busy IMO, but overall not bad.

Stingray is the base model. It's for people who want to look good but don't want the extra power. The power will come later.

It's a base model... It can more than likely be had for nearly what you have into your Camaro, and I bet it will be faster on the track.

We are talking a 3,000 pound < $60,000 car here... It isn't expected to have 550hp. The 475 or so that it will probably have will have it destroying almost every car it will encounter...
Just wait until a performance model is revealed....

Did you even read the thread?

I'm a longtime member who's tired of seeing this lame attempt at a corvette plastered all over the Camaro forum.

So sod off.

Meh, idk, only corvettes that appeal to me are the Z06 and ZR1. I like the 427 more than the supercharged 6.2 though

First, as a long timer you know any new Chevy gets attention in Camaro5. Apparently you are only focussed on the Corvette as I go and play in the new SS threads all the time. Same discussion there, ugly....underpowered.....would never buy one. LOL

To say you don't like the car is fine. The very best cars can't and don't appeal to everyone.

For me the styling is a reach. I worked on the C6 and XLR. The XLR was the reach, the C6 was a wonderful evolution (and I never minded the interior as much as many)

But if you want to judge by the numbers.....................oh wait we don't have those yet. I think what we heard was "at least" or "more than" 450 HP.

If I ever buy one it will be for the package not a HP number or torque number.

So please list all the cars with 450 HP? You seem to think they are all over the place.

Ford only has one and it will cost you much more than a Stingray.

Fiat? They have the Viper and that will cost you 2 Stingrays to put in your garage. An SRT8 Dodge or Chrysler will cost you almost as much as Stingray and neither of those would you really want to take to the track. And neither of them are "common".

Honda? Zero
Nissan? GTR
Mazda? Zero
Toyota? LFA
Subaru? Zero
Hyndai/Kia Zero (Sorry the R spec is only 429 and the Equus will set you back more than a Stingray)

So now you are common if you get to Porsce. So does the Cayman have 450? Nope. Base 911? Nope. Go to the Porsche web page and only the Turbo models are over 450. And those will again run you the cost of 2 Stingrays.

So list all the mid 50 to $60,000 cars than that will run a "less than" 4.0 second 0 - 60 and get "more than" 26 mpg and have "at least" 450 HP.

Oh and add drive it to Florida on vacation with luggage and 2 sets of golf clubs because the Stingray will do that all day long.

Go!!!

It's ok not to like it. You are just trying to use 450 to bash it as if that is a regularly achieved number. It isn't.
