2009 Suburban LTZ 4x4 Brake Job Question
I had my Suburban in today for a noise in the front wheel. I suspected it was a brake issue, but I'm not mechanic. They called with their diagnosis. The service manager said it needed brakes, rotors, and hub assembly. The hub assembly was covered by warranty. However, they quoted us a price of $1100 for brakes all around. That seems high to me, but I'm no expert. Anyone have a clue if I'm getting ripped off?

Last I checked pads and rotors were a lot cheaper than that at auto zone. $300 for everything. Have them do the hubs. Do the brakes yourself. It's probably one of the easiest jobs besides an oil change. $700 is a lot of money better spent on Camaro mods.

Thanks guys. I was able to pick up some drilled and slotted rotors and some semi-metallic pads for just under $350. I'll use the saved $700 on some new coilovers for the Camaro
Great advice!
