And showed that I don't play the brand loyalty game. I buy what I like. I don't think you quite grasp the meaning of the "pot calling the kettle black" and I'm not going to bother educating you as it appears that it likely would be lost on you. What makes your warranty so fantastic ? Can you really sit there and claim to know the specifics of my warranty? Cuz I have no idea what yours is. Did you seriously just try to say your Jeep is better than someone elses vehicle because your warranty is better? lol.. too funny. I have not personally purchased a dodge product. But many of my friends have jeeps and Ram's.... and based on their problems... I sure hope the warranty is good. I'll leave it at that. Good looking trucks, but I don't know enough about them to bother arguing with you over them. I'm really happy for you though. I talked about my Ford and GM experience and you somehow had to spazz out about your dodges. Doesn't get any more fanboy than that. Fanboy, is some idiot spewing off about a vehicle he has never experienced.. Simply because he dislikes the brand.... And he dislikes the brand because...... well, because he's a fanboy. And that's what you like to do. There isn't an ounce of logic involved. Simply blind hatred for no reason. I don't get it so yeah... Happy for you though ! Go dodge ! Bro. I live in BC, we have plenty of off-road to play in. Mountains, forests, snow, and mud.. Not plenty of deserts. So no I do not play in the desert bro, but my Raptors awesome at taking me out to get some dessert. If you think that a Raptor is only good in the desert, than you sir are not that bright, because you are investing a little too much in a commercial you watched one time. Do you know how many other car commercials involved a desert? lol. Would you drive all those cars off road? Hopefully if you do, you have that awesome dodge warranty !! Bro You paid 1/3 the price.... really? And they included that awesome warranty too? And even threw in the posi-traction? WOW Sounds like you got a smokin deal at what.. $13,000 according to your math. And your MPG is awesome too..... damn.. hahah You sure are a thinker buying a Jeep for MPG. Wish I thought of that one. And the metal on your dodge is like a foot thick too right? Not like that cheap ford kind... Does it shoot fireballs out of the exhaust and smoke mustangs in a line too? haha The Raptors fantastic off road, so is a Jeep. If you don't know the difference between the two, then that sir is your problem. They are not compareable. So thank you and good night. I wonder sometimes how people like you managed to be such great swimmers. Keep winning bro ! |

Much to the suprise of all those who tried to use their Raptors as trophy trucks... the frames bent. Because they probably watched the same commercial as this clown. People buy all kinds of vehicles and drive them beyond the limitations of the vehicle itself as well as the drivers skill. And the rest of us get to laugh it up when the video's hit youtube. That said, you'll find just as many people abusing trucks/cars of any brand on youtube these days. I will say there are some pretty funny Raptor trashing videos available on youtube lately. The Raptor is intended to be a stock truck that is a blend of luxury/comfort.... On road livability but the ability to do some off roading better than the average factory truck a little faster than the average truck. While maintaining warranty that you would not have if you went and bought a stock truck and put on an aftermarket suspension. If you drive your vehicle beyond it's limitations and void your warranty its your own fault. Nothing to do with the Raptor. Ford will void damage caused by misuse, just like every other manufacturer would. Do you know how bankrupt these companies would go if they replaced everything under warranty every time some wise guy decided it was dukes of hazard time? It is not a trophy truck. And never claimed to be, as much as the "commercials" would have you imagine it that way. I saw a chevy sonic performing skateboard tricks in a commercial.... soooooo it better be able to do that stuff IRL orrrr it's just a fanboy car. It did jumps that I could never do in my Raptor..... sooo I think I made trade in on one. Looks are subjective, so naturally not everyone is going to like it, but there is no denying, that it's an immensely comfortable truck to drive on road, while having more off road capabilities than the average pickup truck. My happiest purchase to date, but my next purchase is going to be something smaller and more fuel efficient. As the gas stings. I was gettin 13l/100km in the Camaro, and now 21L/100km in the Raptor. Thats.... 18 mpg to 10-11mpg ? Approximately. Anyway. Definately don't buy a truck because of a commercial you get. And definately test-drive. But there are quite a few good options out there and by the looks of it, will be a bunch more in the next few years. I could care less if you buy Ford / Dodge / Toyota.... as I don't have to live with the purchase. And I know better than to tell you what vehicle is going to be best for you. The next few years should be interesting in the automotive industry... with everyone competing to put out alternative fuel and different ways to get more power out of less. Competition is good, because it makes companies strive to put out better quality products. 2010+ has been Awesome for the auto industry so far. So many cool toys being pumped out in the last few years. |

I want to see your 39K Raptop I do talk about smoking deal. MPG does make a big deal when you are on long trail runs. It is evident you drive your gravel road to your house and consider that justification for a 60K truck but I will let you be don't be too butt hurt over the fact Ford smoked you as are most people on the trails. Trust me you do not have to educate me on Fords have owned them and they are a mediocre vehicle. If GM would include their commercial, military, Mexico, and Canadian numbers into the speil I guess they would be the best selling truck in North America. I have owned Dodges, Fords, and GM products and I have never had a problem with a Dodge, or GM - Fords on the other hand have not made it to the 50K mark for real world usage. |

And with that money you could easily build a more capable off road truck if you started with a cheaper base... and stripped it and slapped on aftermarket... no question. The things you could do with a used Tacoma...and the rest of the $$ in brand new suspension upgrades. *drool* But that would be a whole different kind of vehicle that I don't need. And trouble I'm not willing to go through, as I am not mechanically suave... so I want factory fun with a warranty. The Ram runner looks like a great option. And if I recall it performed similar to the Raptor and even a little better? I've only seen one comparison and read one or two... But yeah sounds like it turned out great. However.... I consider it "semi-after market" since it doesn't come to the factory that way.. And as you said... it's really a 20k aftermarket kit basically + installation. It would be nice if they tweaked the offering a little and sold it prebuilt from the factory and a little cheaper. I thought it was a little weird they didn't offer it as a trim... But the nice thing is that people who already bought their trucks can now buy the kit and slap it on. I have yet to see one in person. Would love to test one out. |

In all fairness to a calm automotive debate, I would like to hear what advantages the current Chevy/GMC/Dodge half tons have over the current f150.
Let's talk about the facts. |

The sad thing is the only reasons Ford sell so well is because people buying for the brand. Ram and GM both outdo them by leaps and bounds.
OP look into the new 2014 Silverado/Sierra or a 2013 Ram. Those are the two I'm considering when I go to buy a new truck in 2-3 years. Ford will never enter the picture, especially with that god-awful concept.

My previous truck before my ram was a F150 it was one hell of a truck. All i did to it for 3 years was change the oil. Having bad luck with a certain brand has nothing to do with the brand as a whole.

i just like rattling chains - however my current truck is an E350 with Powerjoke and NEVER again. I am considering for certain if the a new 3500 with extended cab and knapheid for my next work truck. Every Ford I have ever had has not been good. But what a lot of people do not consider is it may not be the brand but the skill of the local mechanics in a particular area as well. |

I still like the new '14 GMC 1/2 ton better than the new Ram or any other 1/2 ton truck. Diesel I like the Dodge Cummins the best.
