It's terrible isn't it? I'll even lower my expectations and say if Danica pulls off one good move in the race then I'll give her props for that. She doesn't have to win or even be top ten, all I need is one solid move on the track to show me she can eat another driver's lunch. Just one.

I started this thread just to kinda say "Hey, congrats to the first woman to win the pole position at the Daytona 500!!!"

It sorta went downhill from there...

Seems like too many use the excuse of all the attention she gets for not liking her. Funny Dale Jr has the same problem...
Dale Jr said it took a lot of pressure off of him last year when she was in a race... Nobody asked him about his losing streak...LOL...

I remember a few years ago a young driver was so hyped when he came into NASCAR. Joey Lagano... Then two years ago when Trevor Bayne won the 500 as a rookie. All of a sudden he was all they talked about whenever he was in a race.
Don't worry after she has been in the sport for a while Danicamania will die down.

Rarely do the threads I start go the way I meant them, just like the day they announced the Camaro was going to be used in Nationwide in 2013. I was excited because people had been wanting it since the Mustang and Challenger were being used and Chevy kept with the Impala...

you just can't please some people, there always has to be those that crap on your parade...

Nah Bird don't think of it that way. If I like a certain group I try to be honest but that is some thin ice.

I was serious though about wanting to cheer for her. If she wrecks that M&M car she will instantly become my all-time favorite.

What's his name again anyway? The M&M goof. Bushy? Kurt? Kyle? Kenny? I forget.

She did come very close once to convincing me she's for real but somebody threw a shoe on the track and that killed her day. She was in first place too. I think it was a Nike.

You guys can't blame me for that though, I wear Vans and Cons.
