Taxes is the big reason for bringing a half ton diesel to market. For those that occasionally tow the taxes on a 2500 and 3500 in some states ie here are about three times the amount than that of a 1500. |

If the numbers on this stay the same, why not just get the F150 with an ecoboost. 365 hp, 420 tq, for less money and cheaper fuel.
^^^^^^^^^^^^This ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Diesel fuel will always cost more than gas. |

I like diesel...GM had that 4.5L in development...real unique design, too. A local plant was supposed to produce it, but they got the Gen V small blocks instead (not complaining
)...I hope they bring that back. The Cruze diesel brings hope... But I hardly believe this will be a make or break item for the segment, or specifically Ram...not in the 1500s anyways. |

says a flat lander - it is where the torque is that counts in towing applications, plus typically towing with a gasoline is usually more expensive than the same vehicle with a diesel

Dont see the manlyness in a 3.0L V6 foreign diesel? And the torque isnt much more than the Hemi's. lets see how the service life holds up first.
I'll stick with my Silverado....
