The rear looks like a nicer malibu, which does look good, but IMO too bland for a car with this resume.

The only thing i would definitely change though is the front grille. To me, its not nearly as aggressive as it should be . I think it would look better by removing the top opening with the emblem, and raising the blacked out/lower grille a bit, and making that the focal point, similar to the Sonic
Ugh I hate the Sonic/ Spark/ Cruze/ Malibu grill design. It's played itself out...Time for something new.

The entire HSV tuning arm is basically dedicated to doing that.

The consequence is that the cars aren't nearly as aggressively designed as say, a Dodge Charger, which was conceived from the get-go as a performance-oriented car.
That's why I love Australia! If I am not far off the mark, the Holden HSV side is pretty much responsible for all of muscle that was introduced in the USA from the 2000s up to present? I've been there quite a few times over the years, and they do love their RWDs. Too bad the USA is too fickle. Anyway, it's all good. It's just great to drive a modern Camaro.

From the sound and the look of things, the Chevrolet is a re-hashed Lumina CSV CR8 from 2007-2010. Regardless, it's good to see a Chevrolet sedan RWD again.

The only thing I can think is that it will get a manual if/when in a year or two it switches to the LT1.

Lumina was VE Commodore. SS is VF Commodore.

Those LEDs in the lower fascia look like cheap aftermarket lights from Autozone, that's my only real gripe.

Want want want. All I need to know is will a tvs2300 fit under the hood.Camaro's are giant attention getters. This car is nicely understated. With big power.

It'll definitely be a sleeper for the most part, however a lot of G8 owners say their cars attract just as much attention as Camaros simply because people don't see them often.

How much of that technology has been carried over to what the Chevy SS is going to be sporting?

VF has a completely new interior plus a whole range of new technology (self parking, rear cross traffic alert, etc). The only things carry-over are the Zeta platform, powertrain (which has been retuned), and doors.

It looks very nice and tempting, but I feel like it is approaching Cadillac territory, especially on where it will have to be priced.

What from Caddiac would it actually approach? Even if it is 40k, the only caddies in that range would be a loaded ATS or more basic CTS with the V6. neither would be direct competitors. the CTSV as it sits now starts at 63k, soconsiderably more expensive, though with considerably hier performance. The XTS is closer in size, but still more expensive, not to mention FWD/AWD V6 only. Mind you, isn't there a new bigger CTS coming for 14? Still wouldn't be a competitor though, more expensive and V6 only powertrains and I am sure the Caddys will still have superior interiors and features.
