Did you see the one Jr had that would lean as he would hit the banking? That was cool, reminded me of driving my Saturn Sky at Bristol a few years ago...but not that fast...

And missed it since then too!

Ah so they did re-badge the G8. Those were some great cars so that is a good thing. Really think they should've called them Impalas though.

No it's a new model not the same car as the G8.

G8 was VE Commodore. SS is VF Commodore.

The new Chevy basically will be a Pontiac G8 underneath, and the roofline, doors, and glass match the defunct Pontiac as well, however, the SS will get bow-tie–specific styling at the front and rear.

Another quote about the SS

After the jump is the full press release where the President of GM North America Mark Reuss said “the only reason we brought it over was to go racing” and “this is not the return of the G8.” Reuss says the SS will be upmarket from the G8 and not for the masses. He also says it will be a four door Corvette.
